About Us

Built Different. Race Different.

R.I.P Motorsports is a racing team built on one simple thing: the love of being on track.

Founded by Derek Levine, the team grew out of years spent working up through every level of the sport — from karting as a kid, to autocross, to countless HPDE sessions, and finally into wheel-to-wheel competition in Spec Miata. Each step added something, and it all comes back to the same thing: we just love to race.

We keep it simple: get the car right, run our laps, have a good time doing it.

The black-and-blue livery is just how we show up. The real story is everything behind it — the people, the time in the paddock, the laps that make it all worth it.

At the end of the day, we race because we love it. Nothing more complicated than that.

A purpose-built NASA Spec Miata competitor dialed in for NASA NE racing. This lightweight RWD machine features a Kessler 1.8L BP-Series VVT motor blueprinted to maximize performance within race regulations, paired with Penske suspension for precision handling across the Northeast circuit.
